Editorial Policy

Standards, Principles & Responsibilities

Renaissance International Review (RIR) is committed to editorial independence, accuracy, fairness, and transparent publishing practices. Our goal is to create an environment where rigorous ideas, diverse viewpoints, and careful argumentation can thrive without political, commercial, or institutional influence.

Editorial Independence

RIR operates with complete editorial autonomy. Decisions regarding commissioning, selection, editing, and publishing are made solely by the editorial team. We do not allow external entities — including governments, political groups, corporations, donors, or advertisers — to shape or influence our editorial decisions.

Contributors are encouraged to present well-reasoned arguments supported by evidence. Disagreement, critique, and contrarian thought are welcome as long as they meet our standards of accuracy, responsibility, and respectful engagement.

Accuracy & Fact-Checking

All published work must meet high standards of factual accuracy. Our editors may request revisions, clarifications, or supporting sources wherever needed. RIR reserves the right to decline or retract submissions that do not meet these expectations.

  • Claims should be verifiable and supported by credible sources.
  • Data must be interpreted responsibly and contextualised clearly.
  • Sensitive topics (conflict, identity, geopolitics, health, etc.) require additional scrutiny.

Plagiarism & Originality

We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. All submissions must be original, properly attributed, and free of AI-generated or copied text unless explicitly disclosed and approved by the editorial team.

Contributors must ensure they hold the rights to any material — text, images, data, or media — that they provide.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors are required to disclose affiliations, personal relationships, funding sources, or other potential conflicts that may influence their argument or analysis. RIR may choose to publish such disclosures alongside the article for transparency.

Corrections & Updates

RIR is committed to correcting errors promptly and transparently. If inaccuracies are identified after publication, we will publish corrections, clarifications, or retractions as necessary. Readers may report errors to:

Respectful Dialogue

RIR encourages intellectual debate rooted in respect, integrity, and openness. We do not tolerate hate speech, discrimination, or personal attacks. Submissions must prioritise informed argument rather than sensationalism or provocation.

Partnerships & Sponsorships

Partnerships, collaborations, grants, or donor contributions do not influence editorial decisions. Any sponsored content will be clearly labelled and separated from independent editorial work.
